My name is Lauren Wallace, and I'm from Bloomington, Minnesota. And I knew that I made the right decision about going to your UMN Crookston when I was on campus with my mom and I had already committed to the volleyball team, but I didn't know a lot of the players. And I was in the eagle's nest, and there was a ton of people around and I get a tap on the shoulder. And one of my teammates was like, are you Lauren? And I was like, yeah, and she said, Oh, my gosh, and Kate, she gave me a hug. She was like, I'm gonna be a new teammate. Like, we're so excited to have you here. And then she took my mom, and I around, and answered any questions that I had. It just felt so welcoming, and so homey so that was one of the biggest times where I was like, yes, this is the place for me.
